College Kick-Off

Hello, Sophomores and Juniors,
On Wednesday, October 13th we will be administering the PSAT/NMSQT as part of our College Kick-Off!  The PSAT is a practice test to get ready for the SAT that students typically take towards the end of high school.  Right now, the SAT is waived as an admissions requirement for certain universities, but that may change in the future.  Students may also be asked for SAT (or ACT) scores when applying to scholarships, so it's definitely still a good idea to take this practice test.
The PSAT will be offered to you for FREE on 10/13!
More reasons to take the PSAT:
  1. Offered at NBECHS for your convenience
  2. The PSAT familiarizes you with the test questions and format of the SAT
  3. You'll get a “dress rehearsal” for test day
  4. Your PSAT results can guide your test prep and what you can improve on
  5. Colleges will not see your PSAT scores
  6. You might qualify for the National Merit Scholarship, 11th graders only
  7. Colleges might try to recruit you (based on your scores)
