First Day of School - Date Change

Dear Nuview Union School District Community,

In order to provide a quality Distance Learning instructional program for our students and families, we will be postponing our students’ start of the school year. Our Board of Education approved the changes to the school calendars during a special meeting this evening. This means that the first day for students enrolled at Nuview Bridge Early College High School will be August 10, 2020, and the first day of school for our students enrolled in our TK-8 schools will be August 17, 2020. This also changes the last day of school for students in our TK-8 schools to June 4, 2021. Your child’s school will provide you with more detailed information in the near future about what this learning at home model will look like. A copy of the revised school calendar has been attached to this message for your reference.

Our school site offices are open for our families on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to assist families with enrollment and residency verification, and our staff is working hard to prepare for the distribution of supplies and distance learning equipment that is needed to launch our new school year.

We encourage you to continue to check your email and the District and/or school website for the latest information and updates as we approach the first day of school on August 10 (NBECHS) and August 17 (Nuview El., Valley View El, and Mtn. Shadows Middle).

Thank you for your continued patience and support during these unprecedented times.

Sincerely,
John Huber
Superintendent
