Class of 2022 - Email Deactivation

Students of Graduating Class 2022,

You have one last thing to do before the end of your school year. Come July 29th, we will be deactivating your school google accounts. Please note, you only have 10 days after July 29th to ask us to reactivate your account for emergency reasons before your account becomes unrecoverable. Before that date comes, we recommend that if you have any information stored on your Google Drive that you would like to download, now would be the best time to do it.

We recommend that you all create a personal email account if you do not already have one, since we are a Google for Education district, you are all familiar with GMail. A standard GMail account comes with everything that you had access to here at our district, just with limited storage.

How do I download data from my Google Account?

Google takeout will allow you to download almost everything from your google account and into a file format that you can put on a USB drive. You’ll have a file type option and a setting of how you will receive the file. Once you’ve downloaded all of your account data you can upload or save it anywhere else you’d like outside of the district.

The most important thing is to make sure that you update your contact information for colleges and jobs, since you will no longer have access to your accounts after the deadline.

Once you have your data transferred to a new account or you’ve updated your contact information, you are all set!
